Occupy Shoreline CT mock funeral procession for the middle class

Occupy Shoreline CT presents a New Orleans style mock funeral procession mourning the demise of the middle class, Saturday, December 31st, at 1 p.m. on the Guilford Green.  A Dixieland band will lead the way from the corner of Whitfield and Water Streets around the Green.  Eulogies in front of the Guilford Library at 1:30 pm.

Accomplices in the middle class's passing will be in the procession, including Re-writing of the Tax Code, Changes in Campaign Financing, and Lax Banking Regulations.  Rounding up the march will be a Corporation purporting to be a person (pictured with visual artist Ellen van Wees of Madison).

Dress in black to respect the deceased.  Bring a parasol in New Orleans style.  Play an instrument?  Join the band.  Bring your friends, neighbors, and holiday guests.  Let them see what the Occupy movement looks like locally.
