New Blog: Come What May

I am starting this blog because I am looking for a job and wonder if I am the only person on the planet searching for employment that not only supports but gratifies me too.  Job search is fraught with self-doubt, wonder and frustration.  It’s a burnishing, sometimes callus experience that leads me closer to my place.  A graceful process this is not.  Answering the question, “What do I want?” is not as easy!  

I have been described as a “man for all seasons”.  I grew up in CT, the youngest of five kids, attended to public, private and catholic high schools (explains a lot), played pro baseball after college, spent twenty years in corporate brand marketing with companies like Major League Baseball, Mattel and my own design and marketing firm outside NYC and the last eight here in Madison, CT on the south central shoreline as a massage therapist, creative artist, writer and public speaker.  My goal is to blend all these skills and experiences into a leadership position in the health and well being field.   

I am an open person, good at a lot of things but my challenge is to CHOOSE what I want to do and go for it.  I am 52 years old, in good physical, emotional and spiritual shape, living with my mom since moving to Madison eight years ago.  This past January, my twenty-one year old daughter moved in with us to get her bearings after learning art school was not for her.  Wow!  Life is rich indeed.  I want to share this journey with you.  “Sharing” what I have and creating “connections” are integral for me.  I do not mind revealing things that are a bit raw…it’s helpful so please indulge me.  I want to see things clearly for myself and in doing so, provide a few laughs, help you connect with possibilities in your life and help you on your way too.  I write in a “stream of consciousness” style.   This blog will be more “memoir” than “daily help nugget”.  I’ll write in first person and try not to extend my lessons to you.
