The Red Carpet Comes To Madison On March 2

The Academy Awards are back. And so is our local celebration for the arts and fashion. For the third year Asiye’s Boutique, will hold its “Oscars In Madison” event on Sunday, March 2. This year, the event moves to The Madison Beach Hotel, and will have a decidedly more musical flavor.

Like last year’s gala that I hosted, the 2014 event will feature an elegant red carpet reception, excellent food, and a fashion show featuring some of today’s most unique formal designs. More than 50 Daniel Hand students will audition to model at the “Oscars In Madison” gala. The event kicks off with a 6:00pm red carpet runway, which will be presented by actress, TV guest expert, author and speaker Allyson Spellman. Inside there will be a live music performance by Madison’s own Erin Christine Prestileo who is a top 40 American Idol contestant from season 12 and currently on season 13 and the School of Rock music group. The dinner and the fashion show will follow, topped off by the Oscars telecast at 8pm.

This year will be more glamorous than ever and I’m very excited to be working with the Madison Beach Hotel. As a business, we’re committed to our community, our downtown area and to the students who want to pursue a fashion career.
