TV Tips For March 23: Survivor: Redemption Island, American Idol, Justified

So Many Channels, So Little Time

Survivor: Redemption Island, 8 p.m., CBS

My favorite thing that has emerged this season is that Matt is on Redemption Island, wearing the same pair of shorts and the same tank top and I am assuming the same pair of undies that he had on when he arrived. And cute as he is, I imagine this boy is getting pretty ripe. Still, he continues to knock off all who come to challenge him, and whatshername from last week’s ouster will pose no obstacle, I think. What a great story if he ended up in the finale with Rob … and won. This season is truly redeemed.

American Idol, 8 p.m., Fox

A little birdie told me it’s Motown Week. Ah yes. Scotty McCreery should definitely sing I Heard It Through the Grapevine. I’d suggest Ashthon sing Diana Ross except that didn’t work out too well for her … and neither did the bilingualism that was forced upon poor Karen Rodriguez by Jimmy Iovine. Hopefully the virus has cleared up and everyone can sing through clear sinuses.

Justified, 10 p.m., FX

Winona’s spur of the moment decision last week to steal the hundred dollar bill from the evidence room – and then get caught up in a bank robbery while holding it – continues to dog Raylan tonight. Last week’s episode was great in that Raylan’s boss had a little screen time of his own, and I very much enjoyed that slow speed chase he gave at the end, when both he and the villain had to lay down in the dirt to catch their breath. Love this show. You should be watching it.
