This is a repeat, but it is a particularly brilliant episode, and I of course will watch it again and laugh like I have never seen it. Of all the genius in it, and there’s lots (including Tracy and Liz singing at each other), the most genius is Jack’s plan to pretape disaster telethons. Seriously.

Great Performances, 8 p.m., PBS (check local listings)

Tonight, the brilliant David Foster. He was the one I was hoping they would choose to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol. He was so great when he mentored the kids in the season in which Daughtry and Elliott Yamin should’ve been the final two but were not. Plus, he had some great time on Nashville Star, back before NBC ruined it.
