This Weekend: New Year's Party at Donahue's, Entertainment at The Kate

We sure hope you’ve had some time to relax after the holidays. You were probably hoping we’d give you a little break this week to catch up on sleep and maybe pick up some post-holiday bargains at the mall. Well, we’re really sorry to tell you this, but your time is up. We’re moving right along to New Year’s! There are some great celebrations going on in the area, so plan on saving your pajamas and chili dip for another night. Now start planning your weekend, already!

WHERE/WHEN: Travis Winkley will play in the tasting room on Friday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

WHY GO: Great local wine and music! The tasting room will be open on Saturday, too, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

LIVE MUSIC AT BALLOU’S: Don Gioiella plays Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., Mike Clifford Friday from 8 to 10 p.m. and Jim Paradis on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

: You’ll have a blast with all the alcohol-free activities planned for the evening! The fun starts at 3 p.m. and runs until midnight. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

: Show is at 4 p.m. on Sunday at The Kate. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for students and free to kids under 12.
