The Big Winners of the Madison Fourth of July Parade

Weather couldn't interrupt Madison residents' good times.

For the first time in 23 years, the 2014 Fourth of July Parade in Madison organized and produced for the Town of Madison by the Exchange Club of Madison had to deal with all the issues synonymous with outdoor events and inclement weather.  More than just anticipating rain, the forecasts being broadcast in the middle of last week included everything from the possibility that Hurricane Arthur might veer inland, the possibilities of having to put up with in excess of 5 inches of a non-stop downpour, and worst of all..involving the possibilities of multiple lightning strikes.  

In order to deal with these multiple threats, Parade Chairman, Mike Catalano, elected to postpone the Parade by a day...and hold it on July 5th.  To Mike's good fortune and wise estimating, July 5th was almost perfect in every respect. This year may have been just a little off cycle, but in the end it was perfect timing…. especially for the Winners of the Parade for each category detailed below:
