Skunk Misery Ramblers fiddle club kick-off!

The Fire In The Kitchen Concerts at the North Madison Congregational Church's Skunk Misery Ramblers old-time music club announces their new format and schedule. We are thrilled to announce that Corrina Smith, formerly the director of Fiddler ReStrung, an acclaimed high school music program in Saline, Michigan, has joined us to lead our group. We're an all-ages, all-acoustic stringed instrument, all abilities (save for the very beginner) group that gets together to play a mix of old-time, contra dance, Celtic, and maybe even a little classical music together. This year, Corrina will be directing the group with arrangements, and if you can't read music, no problem. Dust off that old guitar, mandolin or fiddle and join us. It's also a great way for students to expand their musical horizons in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Cost is $100 per individual, or $200 for a family, for the whole year. From time to time, we'll also have guest artists from the concert series lead a workshop if their schedule permits. Before long, you'll be playing dances, entertaining friends, and surely land a gig on national t.v. (well, maybe, on that last one.) Feel free to email Charlie Shafer, Director, for information or visit http://fireinthekitchen.org
