Madison Art Society Call for Artists


MADISON CT -

The Madison Art Society will conduct the society's 37th Annual Juried Exhibition and Sale at the Madison E.C. Scranton Memorial Library - April 30 - June 1, 2012.

Receiving is on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the E.C. Scarnton Memorial Library in Madison, Ct.  from 9:30
a.m. - noon.  The exhibit is open to all Connecticut artists, who have graduated from high school or are 18 or older, including the society's 250 members. Fine art work must be original and not created under tutelage, be completed in the last two years or not previously shown at the library. All work must be for sale and appropriate to be displayed in the community room of the library which is an area used by families with young children. More than 200
works of art are expected to be juried for inclusion in the show with up to 80 - 100 chosen for display.

The juror is well-known plein air artist, David A. Lussier, whose paintings have been featured in numerous publications in the American Artist Magazine and
American Art Colelctor. David has won numerous awards and accolades for his art work and as a fine artist. His paintings hang in private and corporate collections and are sought after by collectors from New York to California and

Over $2,000 in cash, gift certificates and services have are traditionally been donated by local and shoreline businesses and merchants as prizes for the winning artists.
