Madison Art Society 37th Annual Member Show

The Madison Art Society will hold its 37th Annual Member Exhibition and Sale at the EC Scranton Memorial Library January 30, 2011through February 24, 2012. The library is open to the public and it is located at 801 Boston Post Road, Madison Ct 203-245-7365. The exhibit will feature works of oil, pastel, water color mediums and sculpture. Over 100 pieces of art work will be on exhibit and available for purchase. As always, the artists donate a portion of the sale proceedings to the library. The show is free of charge and it will be open during regular library hours.  

 Diane Aeschliman won the Most Popular Award generously donated by the Fish Tale of Madison at the reception for her oil painting portrait, "Kimberly".

On Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., Lou Bonamarte, well known watercolorist and oil paintier, will conduct a critique of the art work. On Wedneday, February 22, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Fred Biamonte, lecturer fromt he New Britain Museum of American Art, will give a slide lecture on Winslow Homer. The critique and lecture is open to the public.
