Saturday Night! Jay Ungar And Molly Mason in Concert!

The reigning king and queen of Americana music will be at the North Madison Congregational Church on Saturday the 17th. Jay is best known as the author and performer of the tune "Ashokan Farewell" which became the anthem of Ken Burns' epic Civil War documentary. They will also be holding a free fiddle and guitar workshop for intermediate level players and above at 3:00 PM at the church.

 

Jay and Molly's accomplishments are too numerous to list, but they are recognized world-wide for their fiddle and dance camps, considered to be amongst the best anywhere, and for their performances of and knowledge of American roots music. Their performances are hard to come by, so don't miss them! Tickets are $20 for adukts, and $5.00 for kids high school and under, making this the best bargain in entertainment anywhere in the state. There's always free Ashley's ice cream after every show where you can meet and gree the artists.
