Goodspeed Musicals Day at Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale Carousel

Take a spin on the carousel on June 12 and support Goodspeed Musicals! All proceeds from Carousel ticket sales (only $1.50 for a ride) will be donated to Goodspeed.

The "Flying Menagerie for Charity" arrived at Lenny & Joe's in 1999 to celebrate their 20th anniversary; a total of over $706K has been raised for various shoreline organization. The Carousel features 10 wooden hand-carved animals in the “flying horse” style - the mounts are attached from sweeps on the top, and swing and fly through the air. Donna Wolcott, a local professional Carousel painter and restorer, painted most of the carousel animals. The menagerie include a Hippocampus, Frog, Giraffe, Lion, Horse, Cat, Seal, Orca, and a Double Lobster Chariot. Riders can enjoy trying to catch the brass ring” as they twirl around to traditional merry-go-round music.

While you're there, be sure to sample some of Lenny & Joe's famous Seafood Rolls, made with clams, scallops, shrimp, or crab. Or pick up some fresh steamed lobsters to enjoy at home!
