37th Annual Madison Art Society Juried Art Show

The Madison Art Society will conduct the society's 37th Annual Juried Exhibition and Sale at the Madison E.C. Scranton Memorial Library - April 30 - June 1, 2012.

Reception will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2012 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. att he Scranton Memorial Library. The exhibit was open to all Connecticut artists, including the society's 250 members. All work must be for sale and 10% of the sale is donated to the Scranton Library and 5% is donated to a youth visual art SAA scholarship.  Up to 80 - 100 paintings will be displayed.

The juror was well-known plein air artist, David A. Lussier, whose paintings have been featured in numerous publications in the American Artist Magazine and
American Art Collector. David has won numerous awards and accolades for his art work and as a fine artist. His paintings hang in private and corporate collections and are sought after by collectors from New York to California and

Over $2,000 in cash, gift certificates and services were  donated by local and shoreline individuals, businesses and merchants as prizes for the winning artists.
