Rising sea levels and an increased frequency of storms have caused destruction along Ct.'s shoreline.

On Monday, April 22, 7:30 p.m. in Guilford's Community Center at 22 Church St., the League of Women Voters of East Shore will host a roundtable to hear about past waterfront storm damage and future possibilities for preserving coastal properties.

Area residents are urged to attend, joining members of the state legislature's bipartisan Shoreline Preservation Task Force, local town officials and a Ct. DEEP representative to learn about local, state and federal guidelines for future development.

James Albis, East Haven's State Representative and Task Force Chairman, will moderate the event.
