“The New Jim Crow” by Michelle Alexander helps to unmask the systemic racism within our criminal justice system. The book delves into history, statistics, and case studies that showcases the impact racism is still having on our country. The discussion will be led by Devon McCormick, a masters student at Starr King School for the Ministry and intern for the Anti-Racist Alliance of NYC.

Reading the book is not a prerequisite to join the conversation.
