Thanks To Cashen And Maggie, We're A Little Closer To Paying For Our Fireworks Display

Cashen And Maggie Keeler Helped Out By Setting Up A Lemonade Stand; Can You Help, Too?

Cashen and Maggie Keeler set up a lemonade stand outside their home on Liberty Street recently, worked for three hours, and raised $100 to support the town fireworks display on July 3rd.

"They sold lemonade, iced tea, and homemade sugar and chocolate chip cookies," said their mom, Marietta Lee. "It was a gorgeous day, so they got lots of bikers, walkers, and drivers."

Marietta said Cashen, 12, and Maggie, 10, hope to do another stand to raise money for the fireworks between now and the event. Marietta and her husband, Jeff Keeler, have been involved in fundraising for the fireworks for more than 10 years, so they were glad to see Cashen and Maggie help out as well.

"Our kids love the fireworks and it is one of our favorite nights of the year," Marietta said. "The kids want to do their part to keep the tradition alive."

The fundraising efforts for this year’s fireworks have just begun. For additional information, please visit www.madisonfireworks.org. If you would like to support the Madison Fireworks, please mail a tax deductible donation to:
