The next time you head to Bishop’s Orchards, you can support the Community Dining Room – which serves East Haven, Branford, North Branford, Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook – in more ways than one.
Every weekend throughout October, volunteers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the pumpkin patch for the 13th annual Make Your Own Scarecrow fundraiser.
Scarecrows are $12 each or two for $20.
Inside the farm market you’ll find a display with Community Dining Room donation coupons. Simply choose the amount you’d like to donate – $1, $3 or $10 – and bring it to the register when you check out.
