Shoreline women contributed to the success of the popular show My Best Idea on iVillage and now I'm looking for more.

My Best Idea was recently put on the short list for the prestigious Webby Awards, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my Shoreline friends.

Here are some of the great ideas from men and women around the Shoreline:

  • Joan Walker/Madison, shared her tips for marinating meat before freezing so you are always ready for a BBQ.’ http://bcove.me/g4x4mppo
  • Sarah Kyrcz/Madison, says setting your table as you unload the dishes saves and extra step and gives you more time to concentrate on the actual meal. http://bcove.me/9xnrkz66
  • Lexi Statakis/Madison had a cool idea.  Freeze balloons filled with water to keep drinks cold in your cooler.  You can either refreeze, pop or play catch. http://bcove.me/o4ipymi6 (hometown Fairfield)
  • Deb Helgeson/Madison does a lot of lovely baking and found you could use a CD holder with a spindle to transport a pretty mini-bunt Cake. http://bcove.me/g4x4mppo (hometown Cleveland)
  • Hank Cohen/Madison:  and the guys got into the act too.  Hank Cohen demonstrated how you should take a picture of all the junk you put in boxes for storage.  And give the box a number.  When you are looking for something match the picture with the number. http://bcove.me/flz1hbf6 (home town White Plains)
  • Kari Henley/Guilford created an on-the-go giftwrapping kit for the trunk of your car. http://bcove.me/o4ipymi6

So bring it on Shoreline, let me know if you have some nifty idea we can include in My Best Idea, it’s super easy and you feel good knowing your someone else’s life a little easier.  Lisa Nee can be reached at lisa@allennee.com
