After having Monday off for Labor Day, public school kids in Madison and in many other schools had another day off Thursday for the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah.
Megan Stef, Rachel Stef and Oliver Zane decided to spend part of their day off by riding their bikes to the Old School House Deli on the corner of the Boston Post Road and Neck Road, down the street and around the corner from where they live.
What's next for them? Back on their bikes and to the beach on this sunny summer day?
"Probably!" said Rachel, who attends private school in New Haven. Megan also attends private school in New Haven, and Oliver attends private school in Madison.
Madison Public School students also have the following days off coming up:
- October 14, no school for students
- November 5, no school for students
