St. George Men's Group has partnered with The Guilford Foundation and The Madison Foundation to host The 1st Annual Rootin 'Tootin' Chili Cook-Off, a benefit for local food banks.

The event will take place Saturday, March 9, at Our Lady of Mercy School (149 Neck Road) from 1-4 PM. Live entertainment will be provided by The Shiny Lapel Trio. Admission is $8 per person, $20 for a family of three or more, and '5 and under' and '70 and above' are free. Tastings will start at 1PM & the winners will be announced at 4PM.

The Madison Historical Society's Frederick Lee Lecture Series continues Sunday, March 10 at 4pm at Memorial Town Hall on the Green.  Architectural Historian James Sexton will talk about  

"Frequenting the Seashore for Health or Pleasure: A History of Madison's Beachside Architecture" Suggested donation is $5 general public/$4 members/$2 students
 
WTNH's Darren Kramer to be Guest Emcee at the Madison Chamber's March 21 Fashion Affair!

The Madison Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with its fashion members to present the third Madison Fashion Affair on Thursday, March 21 from 6-8:30pm at the beautifully renovated Mercy Center by the Sea, 167 Neck Road, Madison.

A high style event to benefit the Chamber's Scholarship program, the Fashion Affair will kick off the evening at 6pm with wine and hors d'oeuvres as guests peruse the silent auction and pop up shops. Attendees will then be treated to models wearing Spring fashions and accessories from local Madison retailers and Chamber members. After mingling with models and friends, guests will then leave with a special gift and discount coupons from the sponsors. Those wishing to tour Mercy Center may arrive between 5:00 and 5:45 for guided tours of the renovated waterfront facility.

The presenting sponsors of this event are Mercy Center and the Madison Wine Shop. This event is also sponsored by Attitude Plus, bella Perlina, Ciao Bella, Country Shop of Madison, Everthine Bridal, Jolie Boutique, Khaki and Black, New England Soul Journeys, Opticare, Sonas Med Spa, and Spot Lite Cleaners.

There are a limited number of tickets available, at $25 per person. They may be purchased online by clicking here, or by mailing a check made payable to the Madison Chamber to PO Box 706, Madison 06443. Tickets may also be purchased at Jolie Boutique, Ciao Bella, bellaPerlina, Spotlite Cleaners or Attitude Plus. Space is limited.
