Pig Roast, Auction, Live Blues Band Featured At Oct 6 Fundraiser At Deacon John Grave House

The 1685 Deacon John Grave House will hold a fundraising auction, "Cherish the Grave," to celebrate 30 years of preservation.

 

Saturday, October 6, the 1685 Deacon John Grave House will hold a fundraising auction, "Cherish the Grave," to celebrate 30 years of preservation. The evening features a pig roast buffet dinner in the tented garden, silent auction and live blues with Shaka and the Soulshakers. The event is sponsored by Guilford Savings Bank.

Tickets are $60 in advance and include dinner, beer and wine and the famous "Grave Digger."

Among the experiences on offer in the auction are a week’s rental of a beachfront house in Madison and a private tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on a Monday when it is closed to the public.

The silent auction will include a range of items and services from local companies. A partial list of businesses that have contributed gift certificates includes Attitude Plus, The Frame Shop, Friends & Co., Jolie Boutique, Madison Beach Club, Maggie’s of Madison, Malone’s, the Nosey Goose, Petrillo’s Pizza Pub and Grill, Salon de Oasis, Two Ems, Inc., Vera Wolf, and Village Pizza.
