If you live on the shore line more likely than not you have seen the ever smiling face of Kim (Renchy) Hodge. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 20 years ago, she has been a shining example to all of us on positive attitude and community spirit. Kim is a tireless volunteer for the MS Society and also works with the Guilford Agricultural Society and Fair comity. She does more for her town than most able body citizens.

Her only son Andrew recently enlisted in the Marine Corps. He is now in Parris Island South Carolina at basic training and will be graduating August 31, 2012. Kim should see her son march with his platoon but because of the overwhelming expenses of travel due to her disability she simply cannot afford the trip. She requires constant care of an aide and special travel accommodation that add up to approximately $4,000 just for a 3 night stay.

A pasta supper will be sponsored by the Guilford VFW to help in rising the founds to give Kim this gift of a lifetime. Please help support not only this pillar of our community but a young man who has given the next eight years of his life to his country and all of us. Kim and her son deserve to be together on this special day.
