Madison's Lisa Nee won a webby award for her iVillage website, "My Best Idea."
"My Best Idea," which featured several Madison and Connecticut residents, featured pracitical, how-to ideas to make your life easier. Lisa was the executive editor of the series, which can be viewed here.
Lisa says the awards ceremony was "lovely." Award winners kept their remarks to a minimum, to about five words.
"Kevin Spacey used his five words to say "The Oscars should do this,'" Lisa said. "A Chinese winner said 'Sorry I don't speak English' and a really delightful guy who won for best photography said 'Still can't pay the rent.'"
Lisa went with five friends from iVillage, and they sat with five other people they did not know, "who were a hoot. In addition to Kevin Spacey, and Lisa, Ben Stiler and Jerry Seinfeld also got awards.
