The Women’s Club of Madison reminds the Community that its Annual Babysitting Seminar will be held in March. Classes are the Wednesday’s in March; March 6, 13, 20 & 27 @ the Polson Middle School from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This how-to babysitting class is for boys and girls ages 11 to 13. Students must attend all classes to receive a certificate. The Beach & Recreation Department administratively coordinates the registration of the students and a portion of the class fee is given to the Women’s Club for their programs in the community. This awarding winning program would not be possible without the assistance of many volunteers and several organizations in Town! (Faces Make Places!)

Dr. Cheryl Anderson; Pediatrician will speak on the first evening (3/6) and volunteer parents will bring their babies to diaper and older children to interview.

The second evening (3/13) the Madison Police Department will send Detective Phil Rosati to speak to the group on wise safety decisions to make for the children and themselves.

The third evening (3/20) the Fire Marshal’s office shows a video and addresses the class on fire dangers.

The last evening (3/27) the Ms. Patti Palaia; CPR Coordinator & Paramedic from the Madison Ambulance Association demonstrates issues of medical concern that the babysitters should become aware of. The parents of the students are invited to return to the class that last evening as their children receive their certificates.

The Women’s Club of Madison extends a big THANK YOU to the FACES that MAKE PLACES in our community!

Without the support and many volunteer hours to this program, it would not be possible to offer such an excellent educational opportunity to our students in the Town. To register go to www.madisonct.org, or in person at the Town Campus. Beach & Recreation Department (203) 245- 5623.
