Hope You Got Outside This Weekend

Because it might snow again Monday. But, if the forecast holds, the rest of the week and next weekend look fairly promising.

It was beautiful out this weekend. Temperatures were dabbling in the 50's. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping and the kids were outdoors, playing ball, playing on the swings, and sliding down the slides. There were several Easter Egg Hunts, including the big one at the Surf Club Saturday, and the annual Leprechaun Run was at the Surf Club Sunday.

Hope you got outside, because the forecast calls for snow Monday. Not too much, says the National Weather Service, but enough to remind us that, while spring is here, we still live in New England and that means the weather will be changing from one hour to the next.

"A coastal low pressure system will impact the area late [Sunday night] into Monday night," the NWS said as part of a hazardous weather outlook that was issued Sunday. "Confidence is increasingthat this will result in only a light and wet snowfall for the area. Please follow the latest forecasts for udpates regarding this storm."

People who live in other parts of the country think we have four seasons here. People who live here know that is not only true, but sometimes that is true during the course of a single week.

For this coming week, the National Weather Service says that, after we get Monday out of the way, we are in for a string of "partly sunny" days. Partly? That means the forecasters are hedging their bets a bit, and they admit as much. So, yes, check back for the latest forecast before you make any big plans outside.
