Here's What's Blooming On The Papermill Trail

The Madison Land Conservation Trust sponsored a spring hike Sunday. Here are a few pictures and a list of what they found. What are you seeing in your backyard, now that the weather is warmer?

The Madison Land Conservation Trust sponsored a spring hike Sunday, led by Melissa Blundon. The group saw some very early wildflowers and evidence of some busy beavers. 

Here is a list of some of the flowers they saw: 

  • Trout Lily
  • False Hellebore
  • Skunk Cabbage
  • Wintergreen
  • Wood Aster
  • Spice Bush
  • Red Maple
  • Iris
  • Cattails
  • Partridge Berry
  • Christmas fern
