Help Clear Hammo Of Invasive Species. Today (Sunday) At 10am. Meet At The Nature Center At 9:45am.

Reception to follow with great food, fun music. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item for our local food pantry!

 

Come help clear Hammonasset Beach State Park of invasive plants between 10am-12pm on Sun., Jan. 6th, 2013 with the Friends of Fammonasset and Mennunkatuck Audubon Society members.

The group will congregate at the Meigs Point Nature center at 9:45am and Ranger Russ Miller, director of the MPNC will give directions, with Shannon Schiesser, MAS, VP.

Please bring loppers, pruning saws and gloves.

Reception to follow at MPNC with hot food and drinks, and light music by Scott Shufflit, flutist.

Hot coffee, cider, chili and chowder will be available for our volunteers by Lenny & Joes, Friends & Co., Cohen's Bagels Co., Bishops Orchard and Culinary Concerts.

Hunger does not end when the holidays are over. Please consider bringing non-perishable food items that will be collected and distributed to local food pantries to assist families in our community.
