Easter Sunday Forecast: Mostly Sunny, Chance Of Showers Later

The forecast for Easter Sunday is mostly sunny, with a high near 52 degrees. There may be some showers, but probably not until later in the day. And that should bring a smile to the faces of the congregations of St. Andrews, the First Congregational Church, and the Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church. All three have outdoor services planned for Easter Sunday. 

St. Andrews is planning a sunrise service 6:15 am. Congregants are asked to gather at sunrise at the Surf Club near the point by the flagpole. The First Congregational Church sunrise service will be at West Wharf Beach at 6:30 a.m. And the Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Society will be gathering at the Surf Club at 8:45 a.m. .

The National Weather Service says the weekend won't be perfect, but that we should get plenty of sun and, in between, maybe a few showers. For the latest information, check back with the NWS. Here is the extended forecast.

• Sunday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 39. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
• Monday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 52. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
• Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
