C'mon Madison! Your Help Is Needed! More Toys Needed For Children Who Otherwise Might Go Without!

Here's how you can help, along with information about fun things for you to do coming up this holiday season, from the Madison Chamber of Commerce.

From the Madison Chamber of Commerce:

As we start to close in on the Christmas Holiday, let's remember those who are less fortunate than we are.  How about "Playing Santa" for a disadvantaged child?  The Madison Police Department is very much in need of toys and games to distribute to families in need in Madison. This is NOT Toys for Tots, but what our police department does for Madison families in need every year.  They serve about 70  families who come to the police department on December 18th and 19th to choose gifts that they have in a room, which happens to be very sparse at the moment!!

If you are able to help, please deliver an unwrapped toy, game, etc. for the age/gender group below to the Madison Police Dept. before December 18th. If you would also forward this to any family or friends that might be able to help, that would be wonderful!

Specific Areas of Need: * 4 year old boys  (None needed for girls! They already have plenty for girls this age.) * 7-13 year old boys and girls  Please deliver unwrapped gifts to the Madison PD at the Town Campus.

Circle Nursery School is hosting its Annual Pancake Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 14 at the North Madison Congregational Church.  They will be serving a family breakfast of pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. Santa will be visiting from 8:30am-10:30am. This event is open to the community.

Speaking of Santa, members of the Women's Club of Madison are giving Santa administrative help this year again with letter writing.. their mailboxes are at Stop & Shop and Roberts and will be removed on 12/18.  The letter written to Santa should also have a self-addressed stamped envelope with it.  Learn more by clicking here.
