Madison 12-year-old Caitlin Rosinus was born with several heart defects and must undergo her third open-heart surgery next month. Caitlin remains in great spirits leading up to the surgery, which will cost in excess of $200,000. Some of the cost will be covered by insurance, but not all.

Caitlin’s long-time pal and former classmate Elizabeth McCann and Elizabeth’s cousin, Cat Kane, have planned a fun evening of dinner, music and fellowship at North Madison Congregational Church on Sunday, September 16 at 5 p.m.

There will be a pasta dinner served, music and silent auction, with all proceeds going to Caitlin’s family to be used for medical costs.

Although young and inexperienced in planning such things, Elizabeth and Cat could not sit back knowing a friend was in need. Elizabeth and some of her classmates already raised $171 for the cause by selling lemonade from a stand in front of her house and soliciting donations from local business/residents.
