After Big Winds Wednesday Blow Door Off, Curves Back In Business Thursday
The high winds not only blew the door off, but also caused some damage to the roof, but the women-only fitness center was back open Thursday as repairs were made.
The big winds on Wednesday caused some intermittent power outages around town, and blew the door off at Curves, the women-only fitness center on Boston Post Road in the Madison Commons shopping plaza in the west end of town.
On Thursday morning, repairs were being made to Curves and the facility was open.

Also on Wednesday, the winds knocked out power to more than 300 people by 10 a.m., but power to most of the homes was restored within an hour or two, according to CL&P. Madison 911 reported wires down near Old Toll Road and Summer Hill in North Madison early in the day and outages were also reported by Madison Patch Facebook readers in the south end of town.
