Madison Exchange Club commemorates new Scoreboard for Strong Center at Surf Club

On Friday night September 27th, the President of The Madison Exchange Club, Bob Dunlop, provided Exchange’s final payment to Duo Dickinson, Scoreboard designer and leader of the non-profit cause entitled Strong Center at the Surf Club. Also accepting the final payment for the Strong Field Scoreboard on behalf of the Town of Madison was First Selectman Fillmore McPherson.

For the past year, the Strong Center at the Surf Club cause had maintained its important mission to raise funds that would facilitate the creation of a cultural and sports showcase at the Strong Center. The impressive Scoreboard, given in the name of the Madison Exchange Club, was activated last Friday night for the Daniel Hand varsity football home opener and 35-19 winner over Wilbur Cross High School.

The Scoreboard is a handsome complement to the new Surf Club and Strong Field facility boasting lighted turf-fields including both a multi-purpose athletic park and softball field. Everyone associated with the Strong Center at The Surf Club believes its creation will create a gateway to a first class facility to be enjoyed by both the arts community and sports enthusiasts of all future generations. The Exchange Club of Madison is proud to serve both the needs of the Town and the enjoyment of its residents.
