Coach Filippone Named Coach Of The Year By Walter Camp Foundation
Several DHHS team members named to 2011 Walter Camp All-Connecticut Team.
Daniel Hand High School Football Coach Steve Filippone was named the state's Coach of Year by the Walter Camp Foundation Saturday.
From their release:
"As part of its 45th annual Weekend festivities, the Walter Camp Football Foundation hosted a High School “Breakfast of Champions” this morning at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven ... The state’s Coach of the Year award, presented by Stadium System, was given to Steve Filippone (Daniel Hand). Filippone led the 13-0 Tigers to the Southern Connecticut Conference Division I East and Class L state titles."

Well deserved is right! We all know how hard you and your team of coaches and players work, Steve, to achieve your goals.
I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the players last Sept., and what a polite and hard working group of young men!
